Today there are so many digital camera on the market that it seems that the chocie is very hard. Before you go out to bu a new DSLR camera for the first time, I think that you should take a look at some reviews on digital cameras on the market today. My favorite website is called dpreview. I am visiting dpreview website everyday to read reviews, articles and user opinions on digital cameras and camera equipment. I love reading about digital cameras, and before I bought my first digital camera, I did a comparison about several digital cameras (reflex) before deciding finaly on a new digital camera.


My favorite companies are Canon and nikon and I have been given manyu time to read all the valuable information about those two companies and their cameras before buying a Canon Camera for the first time. I chose to buy Canon DSLR camera for a few reasons. The forst reason is that I love the colors that come out from Canon DSLR cameras compared to Nikon. Some people love Nikon colors and for many people, nikon is the best choice. So If you want to choose between those two companies, take a few hours to browse through some Nikon and Canon photographs on the Internet, maybe on pbase, in order to find out how those two compare.

The second reason I chose Canon camera is because of the lenses price. Canon Ef lenses are cheaper and Canon has a wider range of lenses for its DSLR camera range. If you look at Nikon lenses and prices on the net, you can see that the prices are pretty high, at least for me. I have been comparing prices in Nextag and in some other prices search engines in order to come to a colnclusion that Nikon Lenses are more expensive than Canon's. The other thing that I want to talk about is the fact that Nikon or Nikkor lenses are in better quality than the Canon's. Even if you take the L-series lenses, I think that nikon lenses are sharper and have better contrast overall. Some will say that it has to do with the algorithms inside the camera, but when we talk about sharpness, there is no dought that the Nikkor lenses are sharper then the Canon's.

Few months ago before I bought my first DSLR camera, I remember reading many user opinins on the Internet and asking my father which camera I should buy. My father has a Nikon camera and some few older lenese to go with it. He told me that I should only buy Nikon Cameras and that this is the best investment to do, taking into consideration that I want to become a professional photographer. I have been reading reviews on dpreview.com, DSLRtips.com and some other usefull sites. The reviews did a great job helping me decide which camera I should buy.

There are many good lenses to go with your Canon DSLR camera if you decide to buy one. Canon has released a new telephoto-zoom lens 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II which is by far the best telephozo-zoom lens from Canon as far as I know. There are many great L-series lenses from Canon, but some of them are very expensive overall. If you think on buying your first digital SLR camera, take into consideration that you should inveest in low priced gear and not spend all your money on top notch lenses and camera bodies. Before you start spending all you money on lenses and other photographic accessories, take into consideration that you need time in order to decide which type of lenses you should buy. It takes time to decide what type of photography you like best, and I must say that for me, I love the Long Tele-photo zoom lenses becuase they give me reach that otherwise I couldn't take photographs of animals in nature.
