Every online business owner wants to earn more money with its online business. Not all website business owners understand the importance of using a web analytics tool in order to increase their website revenue, leads and increase ROI. The problem lies with the fact that even if they use such software, they would have probably ditch it. The software usability is one of the main reason why webmasters don't want to mass with it. Web Analytics experts on the other hand, has taken web analytics courses in order to make those web analytics platforms their major job.
A few days ago I had the chance to try Personyze real time site personalization SaaS. It is an actionable web analytics software that is easy-to-use (low learning curve) and promises web analytics enterprise features without the high price tag of the competitors. I want to say something about that. Omniture, Webtrends and Coremetrics, all are amazing web analytics solutions, they really are. I know a few companies who have managed to increase their website conversion rates by 50% in the last year using their platforms. They also offer a complete package when you can just embed the Javascript code and those companies will manage all the data analyzing and optimizing aspects of your website. This is good for large corporations, but what about the little guy with an ecommerce website who cannot afford to pay so much?
Luckily, in 2010 we saw some new startup companies who try to bring the Proactive part of the web analytics platform into the hands of eCommerce and blog website owners. Those platforms are mostly targeted to small to medium copmanies with a website. Furthermore, the website should make his money by selling its good over the web. One of those platforms is Personyze real time analytics.
I have embedded Personyze in several website which I owned. I wanted a software that will help me segment my visitors and also help me create action that will help me engage my website visitors. I felt frustrated with the fact that with Google Analytics I could only read the data, but cannot take any action. Proactive measures were needed and I finally found a solution that does that. I have also used Woopra and GetClicky. Woopra has its proactive chat action, which I find not that useful. I think that Personyze represents a change in the way website traffic statistics software are heading.
Don't get me wrong, GA is an amazing free website statistics service. It is free, but lacks some of the most useful features. I remember that on Christmas 2010 I wanted to put a banner on my website that will replace my current banner for people who come from China (Chinese banner). The problem is that I didn't have my programmer at that time and he was in holiday. With Personyze site personalization and behavioral targeting tools I could do just that.
